some highlights of the past 14 days
Well, I was in London. I got to see AvenueQ. I've had the soundtrack for ages thanks to Helen, and wanted to see it for a while. Its not really appropriate for young children. Just think adult version of the muppets or sesame street. I got to eat breakfast standing in the middle of the Millenium Bridge on the Thames, just watching the world go buy. Caught up with Kirk for Thai dinner somewhere near CharringCross.
Went to Jeans July 4th party, which was fab. Was great to see a lot of old friends, and meet some new canadians. Theres nothing like starting a discussion about hockey night in canada and then leaving the room. They were still at it 20 minutes later when I stuck my head around the door.
I bought some PG Tips(to replenish supplies), with a Monkey teatowel in each box. Got a few new tshirts and did a massive shopin boots. Had to laugh, I took jeans boots card. After sticking all the points on it, the assistant offered me a voucher for 2 quid off hair care products - like I really need hair care products. I gave the voucher to jean. I should know better from some of my office work about "ticket at till", borrowing other peoples cards and inheriting their shopping profile.
Spent sunday afternoon watching the Julie the drag queen at Molly moggs with Helen and crew.
Got back to munich Monday, and my PC has started making funny noises.
Life in the office is back to full on stress (hence the lack of blogging)
In the mean time, the daily mail think they have found banksy - Graffiti artist Bansky unmasked, the BBC say maybe not - Paper 'reveals Banksy's identity'. One of the new sites I've got in my Live Bookmarks is WebUrbanist. They started an 8 parter today - Who is Banksy?, but what caught my eye before that was their article about Geek Art.
EHC München have announced their opening games in the pokal (the cup) against Ingolstadt and Straubing.
Toytown is still being toytown
Spent saturday taking some pics in teh rain around munich at CSD. Jurgen and Co and their lorry in the procession.
And thats it I think. In between the work, I'm trying to work out what to do with my PC. Its 3 years old now, and getting ready for the big PC space in the sky (after I take a big drill to the hard disk). I'm tempted to go with an imac, comparing for what I can get from Dell etc for the same money. Hmm its very tempting.
oh one last thing. the iphone 3G has launched here on tmobile. I'm stuck in a contract with o2 until July 2009.
